When starting university it is hard to know exactly what you need to take with you. In the upcoming days I am going to be writing a series of articles aimed at helping you decide what you need to take to university. By reading these articles you should find everything you need to know. I will utilise both Quicklists and Explanations to help you shape your university shopping list. Links are provided to popular websites such as amazon and dell to help you compare online and in-store prices, and make it easier to buy anything you need over the internet. This is definitely worth considering because if you are not arriving by car then you are going to have very limited capacity to bring your belongings with you. By having them sent to your university address instead you will not have this hassle. The articles will be broken down into the following different subsections:
> Bathroom
> Bedroom
> Clothing
> Computers
> Documentation
> Electronics
> Healthcare
> Housekeeping
> Kitchen
> Other
> Stationary
Going through the sections you will find that you will not need everything that is mentioned. Lots of items are simply listed for thoroughness, and they are designed more for you to pick and choose those things that you think you will need the most. For example, not everyone will decide that they want a television yet I list it anyway for completeness. Where possible I have broken the list down in to categories based on whether I think they are necessary, useful or simply luxuries. Again, a lot of this is down to personal preference and is simply my opinion. The aim of this exercise is to ensure that you don't turn up at university and suddenly find you are missing something important.
So, look out for updates over the coming days and weeks. As articles are added links will be added to the above list.
